Metaverse (MVS) is an open-source public blockchain platform that enables the quick development of digital assets and smart contracts. It provides a decentralized platform for distributed applications and services, allowing users to freely create their own digital identities, issue digital tokens, record property rights while providing trust among different participants.
Developed by ViewFin in 2016, Metaverse is focused on becoming a leading global digital asset trading network with innovative features such as Smart Digital Assets (SDAs), Digital Identity (DIDs), Oracle Services and Atomic Swaps. The goal of Metaverse is to become “a new reality” where individuals can control their own destiny through the power of cryptocurrency technology.
The MVS token serves as the native currency used within the Metaverse ecosystem for various transactions such as creating new SDAs or paying transaction fees. Tokens are issued via an Initial Coin Offering (ICO). All activities within Metaverse take place on its mainnet which uses a Proof-of-Work consensus algorithm known as “Delegated Byzantine Fault Tolerance” or dBFT developed by ViewFin’s team specifically for this project.
Metaverse has also released its proprietary wallet called ETP Wallet which allows users to store and transfer MVS tokens quickly and securely across multiple blockchains including Bitcoin, Ethereum & Litecoin. Furthermore, it supports cross chain transfers between MVS & other cryptocurrencies like BTC/ETH/LTC using atomic swaps technology making it easier than ever before to move funds between different crypto networks without relying on centralized exchanges or custodianship services.
