Andy Baio is a digital creator, entrepreneur, and technologist from Portland, Oregon. He is best known for his work on the internet culture blog Waxy.org, which he founded in 2001.
Baio spent 10 years at Kickstarter as CTO until 2020 where he led technology strategy and operations during their rapid growth to over $4 billion pledged by more than 15 million backers worldwide. His efforts there included developing open source projects like Glitch (an online coding environment)and Catbox(a file sharing service). In 2018 he created XOXO Festival: an annual celebration of independently-produced art & tech held in Portland since 2012.
