NFT Sales This Week Mark a Slight Ascend, More Than 11%, Bitcoin-NFTs Continue to Maintain Second Spot

Data retrieved from cryptoslam.io on June 20, 2023, presents a modest uptick in the sales of NFTs within the last week, hitting a total above $146 million. This signifies approximately an 11.60% hike compared to the preceding week.

Even though there has been a slight 1.99% decrease in the number of NFT transactions from last week, totaling 2,271,293, the number of NFT purchasers has experienced a considerable boost of more than 95%. The past week saw around 664,096 recorded buyers.

ETH-based NFTs dominated the $146 million total NFT sales, contributing a massive $85.43 million. Conversely, BTC-focused NFTs contributed $21.38 million. It’s noteworthy that Bitcoin-based NFTs have persistently occupied the second position among blockchains concerning sales for multiple consecutive weeks.

Remarkably, the weekly increase in ETH-based NFT sales was 18.11%, while BTC-based NFTs experienced a 10.84% surge from the previous week. ETH and BTC are followed by Solana, BNB Chain, and Mythos in the list of the top five blockchains for weekly NFT sales.

The collection titled Uncategorized ordinals leads the weekly NFT sales, amassing sales worth $12.18 million. Trailing closely is the Grails II collection auctioned by the luxury auction house Sotheby’s, generating around $7.67 million in sales.

The top five collection list is rounded off with Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Dmarket, and Gods Unchained NFT card sales. Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) and Azuki are contenders closely following the top five.

Interestingly, out of the five priciest NFT sales this week, two noteworthy NFTs from Sotheby’s Grails II collection clinched spots on the list, with the top sale achieving $5.4 million. Furthermore, two NFTs originated from the Uncategorized ordinals collection, while a single NFT came from the BNB chain.
