Sim Tshabalala is a South African financial entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. He is the founder of two companies, SimTek Global and Sizani Capital.
Sim Tshabalala has been involved in cryptocurrency since 2016 when he founded SimTek Global, a blockchain engineering company focused on developing solutions to help bring cryptocurrencies into mainstream use. The company’s mission is to create an easy-to-use platform for individuals and businesses to access digital assets quickly and securely. As part of this initiative, they have developed the EOSIO protocol which helps facilitate faster transaction times with lower fees than traditional payment networks such as Visa or Mastercard. In addition, the team at SimTek also provides technical support for projects built on top of their technology stack including Ethereum Classic (ETC), Dash (DASH) and other crypto platforms.
In 2018, Tshabalala founded Sizani Capital, an investment firm that specializes in investing in emerging markets such as Africa where there are tremendous opportunities but often lack financial resources or capital markets that enable people to effectively manage their assets or take advantage of new technologies like blockchain technology easily. Through its investments in startups across sectors such as finance, healthcare and energy among others , Sizani Capital looks to provide capital resources needed by entrepreneurs who may not otherwise have access to it while enabling them to leverage cutting edge technologies like blockchain solutions without needing any prior knowledge of coding or development skills .
Tshabalala has also become increasingly active in championing various initiatives related to cryptocurrency adoption through his philanthropic efforts via the Sim Foundation which was launched last year with a goal of promoting economic inclusion through investing in education programs centered around blockchain & cryptocurrency literacy . Additionally , it actively supports research projects aiming towards contributing valuable insights into understanding how these technologies can be used for social good within Africa’s communities .
