Mike Novogratz is an American investor, hedge fund manager and entrepreneur. He is best known for his work in the cryptocurrency industry, having made a fortune from investing in digital currencies such as Bitcoin.
Novogratz has been involved in the cryptocurrency market since its early days, when he first started investing in 2013. Since then, he has become one of the most prominent figures in the crypto world. He founded Galaxy Digital Ventures LLC., a full-service merchant bank dedicated to serving companies operating or looking to enter into blockchain and cryptocurrencies, which opened its doors for business on May 1st 2018 at Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).
He also serves as chairman of BitGo Inc., a leading provider of security and compliance services for blockchain-based technologies. In 2021 Novogratz joined forces with Goldman Sachs’ special situations group by launching their own venture capital firm called Galaxy EOS VC Fund I LP that will focus exclusively on projects leveraging EOSIO blockchains focusing investments between $250K-$2M per project providing guidance around token economics and technical infrastructure support through it’s parent company Galaxy Digital Ventures LLC..
