Discover Financial Services is an American financial services company that offers a range of consumer banking products and services, including credit cards, deposit accounts, personal loans, student loans and payment processing. The company was founded in 1985 as part of the Dean Witter Reynolds family of companies and became independent in 2007 when it was spun off from Morgan Stanley. Today Discover is one of the largest banks in the United States with more than $100 billion in assets under management.
The Discover brand has become well known for its credit card rewards program which allows customers to earn cash back on their purchases at participating stores or restaurants.
