Auradine, an emerging player in the blockchain infrastructure field, announced on July 25, 2023, the launch of its application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) bitcoin mining equipment called Teraflux series. The latest offering from Auradine offers impressive hashrates ranging from 185 terahash per second (TH/s) to 270 TH/s.

Auradine Debuts Teraflux Bitcoin Mining Equipment

Auradine, which was established in 2022, came out of stealth mode recently, revealing a successful Series A funding round in mid-May 2023, in which they raised $81 million. The funding round was led by Celesta Capital and Mayfield, with other investors including Marathon Digital Holdings, Cota Capital, DCVC, and Stanford University. This Tuesday, the company announced the debut of its new Teraflux line of miners – ASIC mining rigs that are designed and produced in the United States.

Furthermore, Auradine declared on Monday that the machines are powered by a 4-nanometer semiconductor and are equipped with an exclusive mining technology named Energytune. Per Auradine’s press statement, the Energytune technology enables miners to modify the energy consumption and bitcoin hashrate in response to the electrical grids’ demand needs. Fred Thiel, Marathon’s CEO, elaborated that Teraflux enhances demand response “at a fleet level that is critical to our mining operations.”

A sneak peek into Auradine’s website showcases three mining rigs.

The 4-nanometer ASIC mining rigs from Auradine will be rivaling the top three major ASIC mining device producers: Bitmain, Microbt, and Canaan. Recently, it was found out that Microbt’s Whatsminer M56S++ incorporates Samsung’s 3-nanometer Gate-All-Around semiconductors. The M56S++ allegedly generates 230 to 254 TH/s, and the Whatsminer M53S++ can supposedly create up to 320 TH/s. Bitmain’s S19 XP Hyd, as per the device specifications, can produce up to 257 terahash per second.

Auradine’s website indicates that it offers three distinct mining rigs that deliver between 185 TH/s and 270 TH/s. The air-cooled miner offers 185 TH/s and roughly 22 joules per terahash. The single-phase immersion miner can deliver up to 250 TH/s with 21 joules per terahash. The dual-phase immersion Teraflux bitcoin miner generates 270 TH/s and 21 joules per terahash. Nevertheless, the dual-phase immersion displayed is merely a conceptual sketch of the product.

Auradine announced on Tuesday that the systems would be shipped to early-access customers in the third quarter, with production volumes commencing in the fourth quarter of 2023.
