Monica Crowley, who used to be in charge of communications for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, warned that if the U.S. dollar stops being the world’s main currency, the consequences would be disastrous. She said that would cause a big collapse of the global economy and bring an end to the U.S. dollar.
Bill Ackman Warns
Billionaire Bill Ackman said that the U.S. economy is in big trouble if something isn’t done about the banking crisis. He also stressed that it takes a long time to create trust and confidence, but they can be lost quickly. Ackman hopes that common sense will prevail and our government officials figure out how to solve this situation.
06% of All Bitcoins Reaches Government with Cases Starting in 2020
As of March 25th 2023, the U.S. government held a total of 205,515 bitcoins which were worth $5.6 billion – and this is about 1.06% of all bitcoins that are in circulation now. This large amount of bitcoins was from three different cases that started in 2020. Recently (March 9th), Glassnode’s data showed that almost 10,000 bitcoins (which is worth about $269 million) were sent to Coinbase address.
First Citizens Bank & Trust Company Takes Control of Silicon Valley Bank
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation has announced that First Citizens Bank & Trust Company from Raleigh, NC, is now in charge of Silicon Valley Bank. This means First Citizens took over SVB’s deposits and loans, plus the 17 branches located throughout the US.
