What is a Ticker?
A ticker is an abbreviation used to identify a particular security traded on an exchange. It typically consists of one to four letters and, in the case of cryptocurrencies, may also include numbers. For example, Bitcoin’s ticker symbol is BTC while Ethereum’s is ETH.
