Sam Blatteis is a cryptocurrency entrepreneur and investor. He is one of the earliest adopters of Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies, having been involved in the industry since its early days.
Blatteis has made several successful investments in blockchain-based projects such as Ripple, Filecoin and Cosmos Network. He was an early backer of Coinbase Pro and Gemini Exchange, both of which have become major players in the crypto markets. Most recently, he has invested heavily into Polkadot’s Web3 ecosystem as well as smart contract platform Cardano. In addition to his venture capital investments, Blatteis also serves on the board for ShapeShift AG – a leading digital asset exchange based out of Switzerland – where he provides strategic advice to the organization.
In 2017 Sam founded CryptoOracle Ventures along with two former Goldman Sachs partners – Lou Kerner and Mike Novogratz – who provide financial insight on cryptocurrency investing opportunities worldwide. The trio have been instrumental in helping shape various strategic partnerships between institutional investors looking to enter into crypto markets with established companies like Bakkt or Fidelity Digital Assets Services (FDAS). Through their firm they have provided essential guidance through all stages of project development from concept to launch for some very high profile projects including Libra Credit, Baseline Protocol & Dapper Labs’ NBA Top Shot Collectibles Marketplace among many others.
Away from venture capital activities Sam takes part in numerous thought leadership forums around blockchain technology & its implications on our lives today as well as being active within decentralized governance communities like Tezos Foundation & Aragon Association where he helps drive adoption amongst new users globally by providing educational resources & technical support when needed most.
