Robert Kiyosaki and the US Dollar
Robert Kiyosaki is an American businessman and author, best known for his book Rich Dad Poor Dad. He has become a recognizable figure in the world of investing and personal finance, sharing his views on wealth creation through various books, public speeches, and other media outlets. Recently he has been vocal about his opinion that the US dollar is no longer a reliable store of value or currency to invest in given its potential depreciation due to inflationary pressures.
Kiyosaki’s advice on protecting oneself from such devaluation often involves diversifying one’s portfolio with investments such as real estate or gold – both are seen as safe havens against inflationary pressures. However, he also suggests investing in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin which have gained popularity over recent years because of their decentralised nature and perceived ability to protect against economic uncertainty. The idea being that with cryptocurrency investments there would be less risk associated with traditional fiat currencies like the USD due to its susceptibility to fluctuations caused by geopolitical events or government policies.
While some investors may find comfort in this approach others are more sceptical; citing cryptocurrency’s high volatility as a reason not to get involved in it – although this argument could be applied equally well when looking at stock markets too! Ultimately though it seems Kiyosaki is advocating for people who want protection from possible future devaluations of the US dollar (or any other fiat currency) by diversifying their portfolios into alternative assets including digital ones like crypto-assets.
