Pheu Thai (Thai: เพื่อไทย, RTGS: Pheu Thi) is a major political party in Thailand. It was founded by former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in 1998 and has been the ruling party of Thailand for much of the past two decades. The party’s platform focuses on economic development, rural development, social welfare and democracy.
The main objective of Pheu Thai is to promote sustainable growth through increased investment in infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, irrigation systems and other public works. The party also aims to reduce poverty and inequality by providing basic services such as health care, education and housing to all citizens regardless of their income level. Additionally, the Pheu Thai Party seeks to increase democratic participation in decision-making processes by allowing greater access to information about current policies. Finally, the party strives for greater transparency within government institutions so that citizens can hold their leaders accountable for their actions.
In terms of cryptocurrency use specifically, Pheu Thai has not released any official statements or taken any concrete steps towards regulating cryptocurrencies or blockchain technology at this time; however they have expressed an interest in exploring these technologies further with regards to how they could potentially benefit society as a whole if properly regulated and implemented responsibly. As such it would appear that while there is no current legal framework surrounding cryptocurrencies or blockchain technology within Thailand yet—the door appears open for future consideration should interest continue growing both domestically & internationally moving forward into 2021 & beyond!
