Nasarawa State University (NSU) is a public university located in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State in Nigeria. Founded in 2002, it is one of the thirteen government-owned universities established by former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo.
At present, NSU offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across its faculties: Agriculture; Arts and Social Sciences; Education; Law; Management Science; Physical Sciences and Medicine & Health Sciences. The institution also runs an Institute of Information Technology as well as two affiliated colleges – College of Nursing & Midwifery and College of Education Akwanga.
In addition to traditional academic studies, NSU has recently started offering cryptocurrency courses to provide students with knowledge about digital currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. These classes range from introductory level coursework such as “Fundamentals of Cryptocurrency” to more advanced topics like “Crypto Economics” or “Bitcoin Mining Techniques”. BRC focuses on engaging stakeholders at local levels while providing training sessions on how to use blockchain technologies safely for financial transactions along with carrying out research projects related to cryptocurrency regulations throughout Africa region.
