Michele Morra is a cryptocurrency entrepreneur, investor, and advisor. He is the founder of BlockCommons, an incubator and venture capital firm that specializes in blockchain technology investments. He has also served as an advisor to several well-known cryptocurrencies including Ethereum, Zcash, and Dash.
Morra was born in Italy but moved to the United States at a young age. After graduating from Harvard University with a degree in Computer Science he began his career working for Microsoft where he worked on the development of their cloud computing platform Azure. After leaving Microsoft he joined ConsenSys Ventures as Managing Director where he helped launch several successful projects including MakerDAO and uPort through their accelerator program Tachyon.
In 2017 Michele founded BlockCommons which quickly became one of the most influential companies within the industry due to its focus on bridging traditional finance with blockchain technology by providing funding for early stage startups developing new products based on distributed ledger technologies (DLT).
