Kuwait is a small Middle Eastern country that is located on the Arabian Peninsula bordering Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Kuwait has recently become more involved in the cryptocurrency market, with more citizens investing in digital currencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple and other altcoins.
In April 2019, the Central Bank of Kuwait issued new regulations regarding cryptocurrencies. The project is still under development but it is expected to be launched soon given the interest from investors around this concept.
Kuwait has seen an increase in local businesses accepting cryptocurrencies as a form of payment – ranging from online stores to restaurants & cafes – signaling growing recognition of digital assets within society at large. Furthermore, there are now multiple cryptocurrency ATMs popping up throughout Kuwait where users can buy & sell coins instantly without having to go through any complicated verification process or wait times associated with traditional banks/exchanges.
