What is HTC?
HTC (High Throughput Computing) is a distributed computing platform that allows users to run computationally intensive applications on the blockchain. It was created by Vitalik Buterin and co-founded by Joseph Poon in 2018 as an effort to improve scalability of Ethereum, allowing for more transactions per second compared to traditional blockchains. The technology works by utilizing off-chain processing alongside the main chain, which allows it to handle high transaction throughputs without sacrificing decentralization or security. Additionally, it features smart contract functionality similar to other platforms such as Ethereum and NEO. By using this system, developers are able to create highly scalable decentralized applications with low latency and improved user experience.
