What is ERC-20?
ERC-20 is a standard set of programming rules for issuing tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. It was created to make it easier for developers and users to interact with each other and send, receive, store, and trade digital assets securely. The ERC-20 protocol provides an interface that allows tokens to be transferred between accounts in a secure way. This makes it possible for developers to create their own token projects without having to build their own blockchain infrastructure from scratch. In addition, because the code used by all tokens is effectively standardized across all platforms, third party applications can easily integrate support for any new token created using the ERC-20 standard.
