What are Dapps?
Dapps (or Decentralized Applications) are applications built on top of a blockchain network. They utilize the power and security of distributed ledger technology to create decentralized, open source alternatives to traditional software applications. Unlike typical centralized apps that store data in one location and require users to trust third-party servers, dapps provide more secure solutions by having all user data stored across multiple computers within the blockchain network. As such, they offer an increased level of transparency and censorship resistance as well as improved scalability compared with other methods for application development. Additionally, since these applications do not rely on any single entity or server for storage or operation, they can be used without fear of being taken down due to political reasons or influence from malicious actors.
