Cynthia N. Day is a financial technology entrepreneur and the co-founder of Ripple, an open source distributed ledger platform for secure payments and money transfers. She is also the former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sprint Nextel Corporation, where she was responsible for leading all aspects of finance and accounting operations at that company.
Day holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stanford University as well as Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Public Policy from Harvard University. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving on to senior positions with companies such as Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co., Microsoft Corporation, Google Inc., eBay Inc., Yahoo! Japan Corp., PayPal Holdings Inc., BlackRock Financial Management Inc., American Express Company, Bloomberg LP, Barclays Capital PLC UBS AG London Branch among others.
