Boxing, also known as pugilism or the sweet science of self-defense, is a combat sport in which two participants fight each other using their fists. At the end of each round judges score points for effective punches landed (accuracy) and damage caused (power). In amateur bouts scoring can be subjective but professional matches are usually judged electronically via punch sensors placed within gloves worn by fighters.
