Argentine Peso (ARS)

The Argentine Peso is the official currency of Argentina. It was introduced in 1992, replacing the Argentine austral as a result of hyperinflation rate during that time period. On December 31st 2016, 1 ARS = 0.0617 USD and on May 8th 2017 it changed to 1 ARS = 0.0607 USD according to OANDA Currency Converter website . The Central Bank Of Argentina is responsible for controlling monetary policy with inflationary objectives set by the Government each year following an agreement between both parties and supervised by Congress every two years through budget laws. As of January 2019, there are 10 pesos per US Dollar exchange rate which can be considered as a stable value since 2001 when it started its fluctuations around 3-4 pesos per dollar until today where it oscillates between 9-11 depending on seasonality events such as harvest or government policies towards foreign investment flow into the country economy like tax reforms proposed at 2018 mid-year elections campaign led by current President Mauricio Macri’s administration regarding export taxes among other matters related to fiscal stability management from local authorities in order to attract more international capital inflows over next four years assuming his reelected term will start later this fall .
