Argentine Peso (ARS)
The Argentine Peso is the official currency of Argentina. It was introduced in 1992, replacing the Argentine austral as a result of hyperinflation rate during that time period. On December 31st 2016, 1 ARS = 0.0617 USD and on May 8th 2017 it changed to 1 ARS = 0.0607 USD according to OANDA Currency Converter website . The Central Bank Of Argentina is responsible for controlling monetary policy with inflationary objectives set by the Government each year following an agreement between both parties and supervised by Congress every two years through budget laws.
