It sent 139.7 bitcoins (which is equal to around $3.7 million) from an address made in 2011. This really added up to the total of 1,125.37 bitcoins that have been sent from wallets created in 2010 and 2011 this year!
139.7 Bitcoin Worth $3.7 Million Suddenly Moves From Idle Wallet
On Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 8:14 PM (UTC), something amazing happened. A wallet that was created way back in 2011 transferred a whopping 139.7 Bitcoin which equalled to $3.7 million USD! Btcparser.com noticed this and made sure it happened at block 789,291. Before that date which was on April 24th, the last transfer from this dormant wallet also happened and involved 400 Bitcoin at Block 786,801. This same wallet still has these funds as of May 12th 9 AM ET!
The person who got 139.7 BTC still has the money. The bitcoin cash connected to that address is not being used.
This year, a lot of Bitcoin wallets that haven’t been used since 2010 or 2011 have moved around $30 million worth of Bitcoins (1,125.37 BTC). On June 19, 2011 an address sent out 134.669 BTC and then got 5.04 BTC back on July 13th – Plus a few small transactions which is like 0.00000547 BTC each.
Recently 139.7 BTC was sent from one address to another, but it only got a privacy score of 45 out of 100 from the Blockchair Privacy-o-Meter tool. This means that someone could still trace the money transfer if they were monitoring it. Plus, the associated Bitcoin Cash (BCH) hasn’t been spent yet either.
