Giovanni Russo Recently, Spanish police caught three people who had kidnapped a Syrian person who traded cryptocurrency. The kidnappers were trying to get over one million dollars in ransom money and they had weapons as well as false ID with them when they got arrested.
112 Million Dollar Ransom
Recently, Spanish police rescused a Syrian man who was kidnapped by three people. The kidnappers wanted a ransom of 1 million euros which is equal to 1.12 million dollars. On May 6th, thecaptured trio will go to court where they could face charges for kidnapping and possessing weapons illegally.
An unnamed Syrian crypto dealer hung out with three other people before they all got kidnapped on May 3rd. The kidnappers pressured the Syria-based crypto dealer into using special applications associated with his company in Dubai to get the money they asked for. They wanted the money to be sent to a certain person.
The Syrian crypto dealer was held captive, so he took a picture of what he saw outside the window and sent it to someone who had been trying to help him get out. This person then sent the photo to another acquaintance of the victim, who in turn passed it on to the police.
After receiving the information, law enforcement in Spain began to investigate and eventually ended up raiding a fancy villa in Benalmádena. Not only did they find some weapons and gardening tools, but also one kidnapper with many fake IDs. Furthermore, two other bad guys who were holding the Syrian crypto dealer captive had fake Greek passports.
