The most popular meme coins are Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Pepe (PEPE). This week, PEPE has gone up a lot (+ 216%) compared to the US dollar.

A recent analysis shows that the U.S. is leading the way when it comes to meme coin usage with 23.6% of interested people in 2023. Experts say two million views were generated from popular meme coin pages in the United States. In America, Shiba Inu (SHIB) is the most popular meme coin, followed by Pepe (PEPE), Bonk (BONK), and Volt Inu (VOLT).
India is second place when it comes to people using meme coins, accounting for 20.3% of the activity. SHIB is the most popular in India and is followed by BABYDOGE. FLOKI is the favorite token of people living in The Philippines while those from Nigeria pick FLOKI and ARBDOGE AI as their top two choices. Coingecko reports that even lesser known meme coins are gaining attention across both countries.
Shiba Inu has been the most popular meme coin in 2023, with 46.7% of people being interested in it. After that, Baby Doge Coin got 12.3%, Pepe was at 9.4%, Floki at 8.6%, and Bonk at 8.2%.
Experts studied the 15 most popular crypto coins in May 2023 by measuring how many people paid attention to them. They discovered that PEPE was really popular in Canada and dogecoin (DOGE) was number one in Morocco.
