President Joe Biden recently expanded the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) by a lot, and his 2024 budget will make it even bigger. He’s not open to Republican negotiations that would stop him from raising taxes in the U.S. Last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis shared his opinions on Ben Shapiro and Dana Loesch’s TV shows.
When someone asked Governor DeSantis about taxes, he said that he was really in favor of single-rate options like a flat tax. He told the show’s host that the IRS right now is kind of broken and needs to be changed. He thinks a different system would help a lot.
“The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) is not a good organization and doesn’t help people who pay taxes. We need something else that works better.”
The Biden administration said that their plan to increase taxes is only for the rich, or billionaires. But Governor DeSantis believes that normal people and everyday, hardworking families are also feeling the pressure from these changes. In an interview with Ben Shapiro, DeSantis was asked about Donald Trump criticizing him as a ‘swampy politician’.

Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis criticized President Trump for trusting Dr. Anthony Fauci in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic. He said that this had bad results for the US and that he chose to ignore Fauci’s advice. DeSantis further argued that he was one of the first leaders who fought back against Dr. Fauci instead of following him.
